By Air
Scheduled Flights:
Bogotá – Puerto Carreño: Approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Villavicencio – Puerto Carreño: Approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Charter Flights to El Tuparro National Park:
The park has an airstrip for lightweight planes (1800 meters length) located in the Administrative Center El Tomo.
Flight Villavicencio – El Tuparro National Park: Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Authorization required from Civil Aeronautic.
By Land
Route 1:
Bogotá – Villavicencio – Puerto Gaitán – La Primavera – Puerto Carreño: Approximately 2 days.
Puerto Carreño – Cazuarito – Garcitas: Approximately 8 hours (vehicles must stay at Garcitas).
Garcitas – El Tuparro National Park: Access the park by waterway via the Orinoco River (approximately 1 hour).
Route 2:
Bogotá – Yopal – Paz de Ariporo – La Hermosa: Approximately 1 day.
La Hermosa – La Primavera: Ferry crossing (approximately 1 hour).
La Primavera – Puerto Carreño: Approximately 8 hours.
Puerto Carreño – Cazuarito – Garcitas: Approximately 8 hours (vehicles must stay at Garcitas).
Garcitas – El Tuparro National Park: Access the park by waterway via the Orinoco River (approximately 1 hour).
Public Transportation: You can travel by public transportation along these routes.
By River
(Note: This service is currently only available during periods of high water.)

Puerto Carreño – Cazuarito: Approximately 1 hour.
Cazuarito – Garcitas: Land transportation required due to the Atures rapids (approximately 1 hour).
Garcitas – El Tuparro National Park: Approximately 1 hour.
